My January (and first) Birchbox!

s a kid, I loved getting mail. My face would light up when I saw an envelope with my name on it. As a college student, I still love to get mail. More so, I love getting packages because there’s always something really exciting about getting a box in the mail (even if it’s only a textbook)
I was first introduced to Birchbox through a wonderful friend of mine sometime last year. Basically, for $10 a month, subscribers are sent a box of about four to five luxury samples from companies like Essie and Stila. Each box is nicely put together and comes with a card that describes the given products and a note from the Birchbox team. Overall, I was really happy with my box and I thought that I’d share what I got with you!

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré :
When I saw the mini white tube in my box, I was immediately excited because I have the biggest girl crush on Missglamorazzi and I’ve seen her use this product in many of her videos. What I loved about this moisturizer was that it managed to be incredibly hydrating while not feeling heavy or oily on my face.

ModelCo SHINE Ultra Lip Gloss:
Right off the bat, the packaging of this lip gloss immediately sets it apart from other glosses. Unlike many other tubes, this lip gloss has a mirror right on the tube which has made it a really useful thing to have in my bag. In addition, it also happens to smell wonderfully like strawberries and isn’t too sticky either!

Hollywood Fashion Secrets® Hollywood Fashion Tape:
I wasn’t expecting to receive this in my box, but it was a pleasant surprise. What it is, is basically fashion tape that helps to hold clothing or jewelry in place. I haven’t actually used it yet because I’m saving it for an emergency, but it looks like it will come in handy when the time comes.

Juicy Couture
Juicy Couture Perfume:

Very few things need to be said other than that this perfume smells amazing. If I had to describe it, I’d say it’s a very floral and romantic scent. It just smells so good and I would really love to have a full size version.

theBalm® Cosmetics Hot Mama:
Aside from the adorable packaging, I really loved this combination blush and highlighter. The Birchbox description card described it as a “universally flattering pigment”, which I completely agree with. It is a gorgeous coral color with a subtle golden shimmer. It makes my face look a lot warmer which is much needed in this cloudy and sunless winter weather!

The product that I would be most inclined to buy: The Juicy Couture Perfume
The product that I would be least inclined to buy: The Hollywood Fashion Tape
