Lisbon: Belem and Alfama

After leaving the metro station and doing some walking, Kristine and I found the Pont du Avril and immediately saw its resemblance to the Golden Gate Bridge. (It looked identical!) I had been told that trying Chocolate Churros in Spain was a must, which made San Ginés the perfect first stop on Sarah’s itinerary. A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step

I was so happy to be able to spend a lot of time with Rakchira, a wonderful friend from Ithaca. Knowing London well, she took me to some of her favorite places. On my first weekend here, we visited Brick Lane Market and walked around the Shoreditch area, which has loads of stores and other markets.
